Nintendo 3DS announced – the new NDS

Some quite unexpected news just slipped out from Nintendo – the announcement of the Nintendo 3DS, the successor to the NDS featuring 3D screens, with no glasses required.

Engadget have more details. The new 3D handheld system will be unveiled at this years E3 show, on June 15th, and is due to launch sometime during this fiscal year – so before March 2011.

Sony’s Xperia X10 Android phone reviewed

Engadget have got their hands on Sony’s new Android-based Xperia X10, and given it a comprehensive review.

Ultimately they think the Xperia X10 lags a little behind the Nexus One, due to a few design inconsistencies. Still, with its large 4″ 854×480 screen, custom Android skin and media software, and “impressive by Android phone standards” 8.1 Megapixel camera, for people who want a smartphone with better than average media capabilities, the Xperia X10 looks like one of the best Android phones on the market at the moment.
